Ayatollah Boroujerdi University
Ayatollah Boroujerdi University, a community-oriented and opportunity-creating institution, is one of the higher education centers in Boroujerd, Lorestan Province, Iran. The plan for its establishment was approved during a provincial government visit to Lorestan in February 2007. The university began admitting students in the second half of the 2006-2007 academic year through an agreement with Allameh Tabataba’i University in Tehran. Initially, a group of students were admitted in the field of Law. The following year, the university admitted students in three fields: Law, Social Sciences Research, and Theoretical Economics. By the end of 2007, the university became independent from Allameh Tabataba’i University and officially began its operations in Boroujerd. Since 2008, the university has independently admitted students through the national entrance exam in various fields, both full-time and part-time.
